Play Readings

Play readings are great fun.  They offer you the chance to take on a completely different persona.  Whether you’d like to play a wife of an extremely wealthy husband, or perhaps you would like to be the murderer of the year!  Maybe you are a little more aristocratic, or perhaps you might feel easier having a smaller part?  Whatever or whoever you choose to be, we are sure you’ll find something here.

Play readings are held (usually) once a week in the lower hall of the theatre.  Not only do they allow you to choose who or what you would like to be, they also offer the chance to meet new and existing members of the company.  It’s here people discuss productions, acting techniques, stage management and much more.

The Play reading sessions are extremely constructive, as there’s always something to suit everyone’s taste.  Not only that, but there’s also the chance to simply sit and observe what goes on, and how things happen.  If you like, you can join in.  You don’t have to be in a play to read a script, as many do it for personal enjoyment.  What’s more, you’re under absolutely no pressure to commit yourself.  It doesn’t cost you anything, and you might even enjoy it!

Play reading sessions are not held every week, as some other events such as a production or other event may take priority.  So, to avoid disappointment, we recommend that you contact us, to re-affirm times and dates etc.

Whatever you decide, we hope that you will at least give it a go.  At least then you can see if you like it or not.  See you there then!
