Patron’s & Members events
What are they?
From time to time, we hold
special events for our Patrons and Members, to show our appreciation of their
support. This offers people the
opportunity to meet new Members and Patrons, as well as enjoy the company of
existing supporters.
Over the years, we’ve held
these events at various locations. In
1998, we met on the first Monday of each month, at the Cove House Inn at Chesil
Beach – Portland. Then, we held regular
events on a Wednesday evening at the lower hall of the theatre. Here, we had quizzes, competitions and play
reading sessions suitable for all.
All that has since changed,
as these events quickly became poorly supported. That is until now! In 2003,
we held our very first ‘Patron’s Night’.
This was in the form of a Murder Mystery. To make it theatrical, we involved some new and existing members
of the company, to perform various roles within the murder story.
We held this for our
Patrons, as a way of saying “thanks”.
We’re thanking them for all their donations, suggestions, constructive
comments, and most of all, their support.
We wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for our Patrons.

Members too have their events. The company held a ‘Murder Mystery’ evening
for the general members only, on Friday 26th March 2004. This was extremely well received and was
very much enjoyed by all who attended.
The event became fully booked, days before it even took place!

Below you can see a picture
of some of our members, who were performing a murder mystery event for our
Patrons back in January 2003.

We performed one of these
more recently, at Littlemoor Community Centre – Weymouth. This was to offer the local community the
chance to see us perform, and to promote our company as a whole. It was well received, and it is hoped that
we shall be able to offer more of these events in the not too distant future.
But we cannot do this,
without your support!
Why not become a Patron
yourself, and see for yourself, how well you could benefit? For further details on becoming either a
